In cooperation with the Brandenburg State Office for the Preservation of Monuments, Michael Bollé describes the history of the major radio station in Nauen and its buildings by Hermann Muthesius. The major radio station in Nauen is the oldest still existing transmitter in the world.
The plant went into operation on August 9th 1906. Among other things, after ongoing modernization, the station was used by Deutsche Welle to broadcast its program on shortwave until 2011.
