Reineke Fuchs
Reineke Fuchs. Für die Jugend erzählt und unter Berücksichtigung der neuen Rechtschreibung durchgesehen.
Just in time for Pentecost, King Nobel has all the animals called to the farm day, as he does every year. Only one person doesn't appear: Reineke Fuchs. Because he is accused of countless crimes: "If Reineke were dead, we could all live in peace." Finally he goes to trial, but in the end it is not justice that wins, but the most tricky and unscrupulous protagonist, the most gifted liar... Reineke Fuchs becomes Chancellor, his word “henceforth law.” The parable-like epic, first published in German in 1498, became a folk book, classic and children's book, and has since appeared in countless editions and editions.
